Feral spirit with poetic tendencies

Above all, Alessandra Zevara seeks to connect and inspire others to be their most free and authentic selves. Using words as her artistic medium, she makes intangible experiences and feelings accessible. While her voice is always sincere, she also has a flair for the witty and sarcastic. Alessandra Zevara considers herself 55% introverted; her art comes from the perspective of a person who spends a large amount of time being the sponge in the room, and highly empathetic. Conversely, she is also bold and spirited enough to travel alone internationally, and relocate far without a support system. She is bicultural and identifies as mestiza, with strong roots tying her to Puerto Rico.

Alessandra Zevara believes that you can rise from clumsy beginnings, because we are in control of the stories we tell ourselves. She is inspired by the enduring magic of nature, and the paradoxical complexities and simplicities of human relationships. Her newest project is using her love of psychology to write screenplays with a psychological component and undercurrent. Currently, Alessandra Zevara is based out of Los Angeles, California, USA, where the majority of her first book and poetry compilation, He’s Probably Stuck in Traffic, was written and inspired.
